A Community Empowerment App
An idea inspired from the “See something, Say something” movement, our iPhone and Android app has two features that will help empower our community, increase communication and solve crimes. The See it, Say it, Send it app allows law enforcement to send GeoFenced messages about current or past suspicious activity, be proactive in warning about potential criminal activity and alert the community of missing or endangered persons. In return, the community empowerment side of the app allows the app users to capture images, video or audio of suspicious activity and autonomously send it to the closest law enforcement agency. A Student Empowerment App
National School Security Information Sharing System has partnered with the See it, Say it, Send it app. Visit their site by clicking on the logo.
98% of school-age children have at least one smart device (phone, watch tablet), 70% of Americans check their phone as soon as they wake up and more than 1500 times during the day.
Lastly, and most importantly, 90% of all time spent on smart devices is in apps! To communicate with teenagers, we have to meet them where they are; "on their turf". Hotlines, 800 numbers, and school/agency emails address just aren't it. The See it, Send it app allows them to report suspicious or criminal behavior related to school activities while remaining anonymous.
